In accordance with policy formulated for the purpose of making appointments to City Boards, Committees and Commissions, notice is hereby given of the following vacancies:

Building Code Board of Appeals

One Vacancy – term to expire August 1, 2010 – alternate

Qualifications:  resident of the City of Bay City and follow guidelines of the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to Composition of the Board

Columbus Avenue Management Board

One vacancy – term to expire October 31, 2011

Qualifications:  Must be located within the district

Compensation Commission

One vacancy – term to expire May 1, 2014

Qualifications:  Registered elector of the City of Bay City

Economic Development Corporation

One vacancy – term to expire April 1, 2012

Qualifications:  At-large vacancy

Fire Code Board of Appeals

One vacancy – term to expire August 1, 2012

Qualifications:  Specialist in Fire Prevention

Historic District Commission

Four vacancies – terms to expire May 1, 2010, and 2011

Qualifications:  Contact the City Planning Department

Midland Street Management Board

Five vacancies – terms to expire June 30, 2009, 2010, and 2011

Qualifications:  Members shall be owners/operators of a Midland Street area business

Planning Commission

One vacancy – term to expire October 21, 2012

Qualifications:  Must be resident of the City of Bay City

Architectural Review Committee

Two vacancies – terms to expire June 18, 2012

Qualifications:  Resident of the City of Bay City 

Downtown Management Board

Three vacancies – terms to expire June 30, 2012

Qualifications:  Must be an owner/operator of a downtown business or a resident of the downtown area
