Center Avenue Neighborhood Association (CANA) Plant Swap

What is a plant swap?  It is an event in which members of the community bring divided perennials or other healthy "extra" plants from their yards to exchange for plants that other people have brought from their yards.  This is a great way to share the beauty of your garden and acquire some new plant varieties, meet neighbors, share gardening tips and enjoy refreshments!  Any plants left at the end of the plant swap will be free to those who would like them, even if they have no plants to swap.  The CANA Plant Swap is open to the public and is free of charge.

The Center Avenue Neighborhood Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was created in 2008.  CANA was born from a need to protect the rich architectural legacy of the Center Avenue Historic District.  Membership is available to all who are sympathetic to the needs of historic preservation in Bay City and who are interested in safeguarding the community's architectural heritage.
