Fiscal Services
Director
Bay City, MI (pop. 36,817),
located in Bay County, 100 miles north of Detroit along the
Saginaw River, is seeking a progressive, highly motivated
professional to manage its Fiscal Services Division. Salary is
$71,760 – $97,136 DOQ plus excellent benefit package.
Bachelor’s
degree in accounting, finance, business administration or
related field required. CPA or Masters degree preferred.
Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of management
experience in the municipal finance field. Candidate must have
strong supervisory, communication, computer, financial and
problem solving skills and enjoy working with the general
public. Must be knowledgeable and experienced in budget
preparation and management, audit and comprehensive financial
report preparation, internal control, cash management, utility
collection and billing systems, debt service management, revenue
forecasting, investment, health care administration, risk
management and taxation.
Position
reports directly to the City Manager and is an integral part of
the City’s executive team. The Fiscal Services Division
consists of Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Assessing,
Payroll/Payables, Purchasing and Treasurer departments. City’s
budget totals $126,602,796 including a $22,705,739 General Fund
and $60,709,630 Enterprise funds (i.e. electric, water, sewer,
airport, code enforcement, cemetery).
