Beginning with bills issued in June 2008 the electric utility will be implementing an average 9 percent increase in rates for all customer classes and will be re-establishing a Power Supply Cost Recovery (PSCR) factor. The PSCR will adjust for changes in our costs of purchase power each month. The factor can decrease as well as increase and increases that average over $0.01 killowatt-hour over a years time will automatically trigger a reevaluation of the of the utility’s base rates.

In order to assist our customers in understanding why this increase is necessary and the impact on each user’s electric bill the following information was developed.
