Meters:

The water meter is normally in your building. It is hooked into your plumbing. It should be in a location that is heated so that it does not freeze and break.

Possible locations for Water Meters:

Basement

Crawlspace

Mechanical Room

Behind washer and dryer

Next to hot water heater

Under a sink

Outside Register (ROM):

There is a small box on the outside of your building that is attached to you water meter by a wire. The meter sends a signal to the ROM to update the numbers.

The City has two main brands of meters: Badger meters and Rockwell Meters.
